Welcome to Dream In Color – part of the inaugural Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. You should have come here from Stesha Bloodhart and when you finish here, you will go on to Kerstin Klar.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to participate in this inaugural blog hop. It’s not just the first one for the Scrapbooking Global Group. It is also MY first Blog Hop! The best part of this hop is that it concentrates on scrapbooking pages. That is my first love when it comes to paper-crafting. In fact, this layout is reminiscent of my early days in stamping when I said, “Look. I can make my own background paper. I will save so much money!” Fast forward about 20 years and that is not EXACTLY how things worked out.
On this layout, I created background paper using the Lovely Inside and Out Stampin’ Up! stamp set with Night of Navy, Real Red, and Tempting Turquoise. I used those same three colors to create the mats under the photos. The title was created with the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies (138281) and embellished with the silver thread and silver Clear Faceted Gems (144142).
When all was said and done, I needed the page to fit into a 12×12 page protector. So, I squared up the stamped paper and added a faux frame in silver card stock behind it. Hope you enjoy!
